Michael Rosenblatt
CEO & President
Michael Rosenblatt has been the Founder of five media companies, both public and private, all of which he has served as CEO or Executive Chairman, most recently as Founder, CEO and President of SoundHouse LLC. He has extensive experience working with Private Equity and Venture Capital partners and has over 30 years of cumulative directorship experience on multiple company boards, both public and private. Known for his ability to build media distribution and content creation organizations that can scale quickly, he has succeeded in leading companies from start-up, through rapid growth and ultimately through exits, both public and private. LifeF/X Software grew from start up to over $1Billion in public market cap while he was Founder, Executive Chairman and President.
Michael is the Executive Producer of over 20 feature films including Teen Wolf starring Michael J. Fox, Valley Girl, starring Nicholas Cage and Extremities, starring Farrah Fawcett.
Since 1986 Michael has been a lifetime member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and in 1997 Wired Magazine featured him as one of 22 people reinventing Hollywood. From 1998-2002 Michael was a member of the Board of Overseers of Newton Wellesley Hospital (Partners HealthCare).
Jeff Patterson
COO & CFO
Jeff Patterson has been financing and investing in the media sector for over 30 years, most recently as the COO & CFO of SoundHouse. Prior to joining SoundHouse in 2017, he led media investments for Columbia Capital where he was a partner for over 20 years and spanning six funds. Jeff became actively involved in SoundHouse after leading Columbia Capital’s investment in the Company and working closely with the team.
In addition to leading Columbia Capital’s investment in SoundHouse, he led or was involved in numerous Columbia Capital investments including Baja Broadband, Broadsoft, Call Technologies, Digital Television Services, Hoak Media, Legendary Pictures, Nuvox Communications, Taqua, Tennis Channel, and XM Satellite Radio.
Prior to Columbia Capital, Jeff spent five years in Boston and London at First National Bank of Boston where he structured leveraged financings for cable and media companies. Jeff has an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Jeff’s mercifully short music career peaked in high school as a guitarist for a number ill-fated garage bands.
Dave Ellis
CTO
David Ellis currently serves as CTO for round2media. He has been designing and implementing software and information management systems for over 30 years. Prior to joining round2media in 2021, David worked for the Karamaan Group, a hedge fund with a staff of five, where he developed bespoke accounting and analysis systems. For 15 years before that, he was with Thomson Reuters, a company of over 25,000 employees, where he oversaw system architecture and developed features in multiple large-scale applications for the legal industry, including the flagship product Westlaw. He has additional experience creating software for the banking industry and in the field of bioinformatics.
Throughout his career, David's primary focus has been on implementing the appropriate technology for the unique needs of each industry, organization, and consumer, with the goal of maximizing business potential in a cost-effective and sustainable way. When applied to software development itself, this approach has lead to extensive experience with multiple development methodologies and tools that helps teams and companies of any size reach peak efficiency while producing secure, reliable, and effective systems.
When not working with technology, David can be found in his pottery studio or playing with a variety of analog musical instrument including the violin, trumpet, clarinet and guitar.
Vanessa Jolie
SVP Finance Accounting & Administration
Vanessa Jolie is round2media’s Senior Vice President of Finance Accounting & Administration, providing financial guidance to the company as well as overseeing accounting, financial operations, treasury, accounting compliance, financial reporting, risk management, tax, and human resources. Vanessa brings more than 30 years of experience directing the financial and operational functions of both private and public companies.
She most recently transitioned into the media investment industry as the Director of Finance at SoundHouse, where she guided the maturation of the finance role, including building critical new functions and improving efficiency as SoundHouse scaled.
Prior to SoundHouse Vanessa spent eight years at That’s My Ticket, a manufacturer and distributor of licensed historic sports and concert consumer products, as the Director of Finance and Accounting, and a member of the Executive Steering Committee. There she was instrumental in implementing eCommerce platforms, managing credit exposure, and rebuilding the company’s accounting and operational processes.
Known for her leadership and relationship building, she is an expert in financial reporting, accounting controls, system implementation, operational improvements, project management, and acquisition integration. Building her extensive background in these areas, Vanessa served in various financial and operational management positions for ESC Sharplan, Computer People, Chadwick’s of Boston, and the TJX Companies.
Vanessa began her career with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Boston. She received a BS from Babson College with concentrations in Accounting and Communications.
Steve Porzio
Director of Data Analytics & Finance
Steve Porzio has 10 years of experience in the finance and data sectors, most recently as an analyst with SoundHouse LLC. Prior to joining SoundHouse, Steve worked as a senior data analyst at Fidelity Investments in the Pricing and Cash Management Services division.
Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with an M.S. in Financial Engineering & Risk Analytics, where he was an Academic All-American goalie on the ACHA hockey team. When he’s not analyzing royalty data, Steve serves as the Emergency Back Up Goalie for the Boston Bruins, a position he also held for several years with the New York Rangers.
Stephen Dings
Director of Data Analytics & Finance
Stephen began his career with SoundHouse, gaining unparalleled experience in acquiring music rights, while also establishing himself as a respected analyst and tech guru within the firm. Stephen is known for his analytical, SQL, Tableau, and tech expertise. In his free time Stephen likes to volunteer, primarily to help immigrant youth in the Boston area. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Finance and Political Science from the University of Vermont.
Shara Yolkut
VP of Business Affairs
Shara Yolkut brings more than a decade of music industry experience to the media investment business. She transitioned into the sector as Director of Business Affairs at SoundHouse LLC, where she dove headfirst into the evolving world of digital music rights. Shara previously worked at EMI Music Publishing, where she specialized in synchronization licensing across all media and led the company’s efforts in stage-theatrical production. Recognized for her efforts in Billboard Magazine’s 2008 list of “30 Under 30” industry power players, Shara eventually moved to a business development role at EMI. As Vice President of Product Operations she leveraged industry partnerships and songwriter collaborations to create innovative products that generated meaningful sales growth. Overseeing the integration and creation of master recordings, Shara also developed company strategy and rights management for the asset type. A graduate of Boston University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, Shara lives in the greater New York City area with her husband and four children.
Ben Rosenblatt
VP of Corporate Development
Ben Rosenblatt serves as Vice President of Corporate Development for r2m. Ben is responsible for industry relationship building, deal development, and diligence oversight.
Previously, Ben served as Director of Corporate Development at SoundHouse and before that was an Investor at Polaris Partners, a Boston based, tech focused Venture Capital firm.
Ben graduated with a degree in economics from Brown University, where he was also an Academic All-American football player. Outside of the office you’ll find Ben on the golf course, near the ocean or hanging out with his dog, Gouda (the official r2m mascot).
